Lancia Is Back With Three New Models Made From Recyclable Materials
by AutoExpert | 7 April, 2022
Lancia, being a member of the Stelantis Alliance, appears to have a secure future. The brand has announced its 10-year development strategy, which includes the introduction of three all-electric models that will meet the demands of 50% of the market, the use of recyclable materials, and the extension of the dealer network.
The fourth-generation Ypsilon is the first new addition to the brand's revitalization initiative. It will be followed by the Aurelia, a small SUV that will be the successor to the legendary Delta hatchback. All Lancia vehicles will be 100% electric starting in 2026, and the company will stop selling cars with internal combustion engines entirely in 2028.
Lancia's ten-year strategy is built on three pillars: sustainability, customer attention, and social responsibility. Stellantis' premium category is led by Lancia, which is inspired by Mercedes-Benz's approach. So far, only one aspect has been highlighted: boosting profitability through the optimization of sales channels, manufacturing quantities, and pricing.
It is hoped that by taking this approach, the brand would eventually become successful and will be able to integrate into worldwide markets. Remember that the Lancia brand now has only one model in its inventory. This is the Ypsilon, the current iteration of which was released in 2011 and is now considered obsolete.
