The 20,000th Urus SUV went off the assembly line yesterday, making it Lamborghini's best-selling car in the shortest amount of time. The Urus is colored Viola Mithras and features black wheels and brake calipers.
Lamborghini's production has doubled as a result of the Italian super SUV. More than 70% of Urus orders came from first-time Lamborghini buyers. So far, the most preferred colors picked for the Urus through Lamborghini's Ad Personam program were Grigio Telesto, Blu Cepheus, and Viola Pasifae.
In order to make room for the new car, the brand's plant in San'Agatha Bolognese grew from 861,113 to 1,722,226 square feet. In addition, 500 more employees were hired to assist in building it. As a reminder, the Urus is propelled by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 641 horsepower and 641 pound-feet of torque. The 62 mph mark is reached in under 3.6 seconds.
"From the first moment we presented the Urus concept at the Beijing motor show in 2012, to its market debut in 2018, and each year since, the Urus has proved its instant and continued appeal as a true Lamborghini, born from our super sports heritage and the world’s first Super SUV, the LM 002," Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann remarked.
