Lamborghini Has Set Its Focus On Acceleration And Top Speed For Its Next Projects

A decade ago if you would have asked Francesco Scardaoni the parameters to measure a car, he would've answered "top speed, acceleration, and handling. Nowadays, with the increasing demand for electric vehicles, these parameters aren't a top priority right now. The times had changed drastically and the new key parameters are considered "handling and dynamics" for their cars.
Instead of aiming for top-speed cars, the automakers are aiming at accelerations right now, and they would like to rectify that. Over the last years, the Lamborghini hypercars are delivering stunning on-track performances, take, for example, the Aventador SVJ and the Huracan STO. Similar acceleration and top speed numbers, but different performance on the racetrack.
Now is important to make cars that wouldn't be that heavy to steer or to handle, because, despite the good acceleration, there's no smooth drive experience when the driver wants to feel the fast driving. Lamborghini wants to make it possible by returning to those two previous key metrics - top speed and performance. According to Scardaoni's statement, this the number one priority right now.
