Lada takes over the Kia design model!

Lada, the symbol of the former USSR and the best selling brand in Russia, after decades in which its models were seen by the European markets as completely outdated, promises a revolutionary rejuvenation of the range.
The model Steve Mattin will consider as a basis while changing radically the Lada appearance is the Kia one. "We will follow the example of Peter Schreyer who has completely changed the face of Kia. We will intensively modernize the Lada brand by introducing a new design language and a modern DNA that will change our brand's image", Mattin, the 48 years old British designer who has worked for Mercedes-Benz and Volvo so far, says. The Englishman holds the AvtuVAZ design director position since 2011 and aims to transform the current Lada models into some attractive and widely-desired cars.
The design-related changes will not affect the Russian brand values, one of which is the robustness, at all.
The possibility we have as regards changing our image with the new Lada models' design we owe to Lada X-Ray (photo gallery), the concept introduced by the Russian brand in world premiere last year at the Moscow Motor Show.
