After several days of teasers, Koenigsegg has finally presented their new supercar Reger. The Swedish car manufacturer claims that the new creation is an alternative to cars produced so far and this model is more luxurious and more powerful!
Indeed, Koenigsegg Reger has no shortage of horsepower as it is equipped with a V8 engine 5.0 liters and three electric motors that can deliver "at least" 1,500 horsepower. The hypercar benefits from a new type of transmission called Koenigsegg Direct Drive which aims to reduce the loss of horsepower by 50% compared to a traditional transmission!
The electric motors are powered by a 9.27 kWh and 620V battery, but also by a gasoline engine that delivers torque directly into their heart. In this configuration, the new Reger is capable of a maximum speed of 400 km/h achieved in just 20 seconds!!! The sprint from zero to the first 100km/h is reached in just 2.8 seconds 150km/h to 250km/h in only 3.2 seconds!
The hypercar will be produced in only 80 copies and we can assume that the stocks will be exhausted in a very short time!
