New images of the forthcoming 008 Baja Dakar Buggy, were shared by James Glickenhaus. Initially, the concept was named, the ‘Mini Boot’ after its Baja Boot off-roader. The first concept of the vehicle is a perfect combination between the good looking of the SCG 004 race car and the off-road credentials of the Baja Boot. These renderings show slight design progress over the last 12 months.
The designers made modifications to the front-end with a prominent bash guard but kept the original wheel arches and headlights as the 004. It also features LED daytime running lights and four large rally lights in the hood.
The 004 Baja Boots’ normal side window glasshouse got replaced and the 008 Baja Dakar features now a larger roll cage and black mesh. The jacked-up suspension and the massive off-road tires modified the height of the pavement. will be higher off the pavement.
The similarities between the original 004 Mini Boot concept and the rendered 008 Baja Boot are the large tailpipes poking out of the compartment, the two spare wheels and tires stacked in the back, and the roof scoop.
Designed with a three-seater with a central driving position, the 008 Baja Dakar Buggy, it’s still uncertain what engine will be put to 'beast' up its character, but even with the initial V8, the car will fill your blood with adrenaline.
