Intriguing New Official Sketch From GM's Design Department
by AutoExpert | 14 March, 2023
The General Motors Design Instagram account has released some intriguing new content, showcasing previously unreleased sketches from the company's design studio. The latest sketch is of a pickup truck that doesn't have a name, but it looks like it was made with GMC in mind.
Bean Zavala, an automotive designer at General Motors who has been with the company since 2013, created the sketch. His creation is equipped with H-shaped LED headlights and off-road accessories on the bumper. Furthermore, the pickup truck exhibits an aerodynamic roofline, LED taillights, and oversized alloy wheels.
Based on its features, the sketch likely portrays a pickup truck of a similar size to GMC's Canyon, and some experts speculate that it could preview an upcoming electric version of the Canyon or a similar model.
Since electric pickups are becoming more popular, the grille and lack of front air intakes suggest that the truck may have a zero-emissions powertrain. Even though the sketch might give hints about future production models, General Motors hasn't said anything official about the drawing yet.
