Inspired By The Past, Powered By The Future: Meet The Battista Targamerica By Pininfarina

Automobili Pininfarina just rolled out the Battista Targamerica, their first-ever coach-built beauty. This sleek vehicle has a traditional "Targa" design with a removable roof, but don't let that fool you—it still has the same 1,876 bhp quad-motor punch as the Battista coupé and uses the same technology as the Rimac Nevera.
Of course, you can roll up the cloth panel for emergencies, but its primary use is outdoors. An anonymous American client commissioned the creation of the similarly unique Ferrari Testarossa Spider for the late Gianni Agnelli.
"He had many one-off cars, many of them realized by Pininfarina," stated Paolo Dellachà, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina. "There was one that was to me very beautiful: a silver Testarossa with a white soft top and blue stripes at the bottom. That car gave me the inspiration that I proposed to our designer—knowing that our client was very much into silver, by the way—so we took a lot from the past in that sense.”
The Targamerica's interior boasts tan leather upholstery, custom headrests, and a cigar humidor sandwiched between the seats. The open-top supercar also includes several client-specific touches. Dellachà commented when asked if such treatment is offered to all Pininfarina purchasers or if it is reserved for exceptional clients.
He added that they are always willing to accommodate their diverse clientele's wildest, most technologically sophisticated fantasies. The Battista Targamerica, based on the £1.92 million Battista, has an impressive peak speed of 222 mph, a 0-62 mph time of 1.86 seconds, and a 0-124 mph time of 4.49 seconds.
