Infamous Cars and Their Dark Histories: From Diana to Tupac
by AutoExpert | 9 April, 2024
You know how everyone was obsessed with Princess Diana's death? Well, her car actually disappeared for a while. Cops had it, then it was reportedly in France, but who knows? Journalists couldn't even track it down.
But some of these cars, they're easier to find:
1. The Archduke's Ride: War Started Here (Literally)
Remember how World War I kicked off because of that Archduke assassination? Yeah, his car's in a museum in Vienna. Weird, right? It's got this whole myth about it being cursed, like all the owners kept dying. Probably B.S., but kinda creepy anyway.
2. Bonnie and Clyde: Looks Like Swiss Cheese
These two got shot up in their Ford, and that thing's FULL of bullet holes. It was stolen, of course, then the law got it back. Now? It's in a Vegas casino. That's SO America.
3. Hank Williams: Sad Story, Kinda Boring Car
Poor old Hank died in the back of his Cadillac on New Year's Day. Overdid the painkillers and booze... that'll do it. Car's in a museum now, not that exciting to look at, honestly.
4. JFK's Limo: Talk About Makeovers...
So, they took the car where JFK was shot and... armored it up! Black paint job, bulletproof glass, the whole deal. Presidents used it for YEARS after. Kinda messed up, if you ask me. It's in a Ford museum now.
5. Tupac's BMW: For Sale, If You're a Superfan.
That BMW where they shot Tupac? It's been fixed up, and some Vegas car dealer was trying to sell it for like $1.5 million. Still had a bullet dent, if you can believe that. Who knows if they actually found a buyer...
This stuff always makes me think... imagine buying one of these cars, knowing what happened. Would YOU drive it?
