In Europe, Toyota released a list of improvements for the RAV4. For the 2023 model year, it now features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.5-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a revised Toyota Safety Sense suite. Other Toyota vehicles, like the Corolla and the Corolla Cross, have already received the new 10.5-inch touchscreen with a high-definition display.

Standard features of the new infotainment system include connectivity with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cloud-based navigation with real-time data for traffic and parking options near your location, and a new onboard voice assistant.

More features, such as offline navigation, highway sign recognition, weather reports, and low-emission zone notifications, are possible with the system. In addition, Toyota offers a four-year over-the-air "Smart Service" package with enhanced connectivity and remote MyT application functionalities.

The 12.3-inch display is standard on all trim levels except the base model, which comes with a 7-inch display. The screen features four modes, Casual, Smart, Sport, and Tough, and three configurations. Additionally, Toyota's Safety Sense system has been slightly upgraded.

The Pre-Collision System now provides intersection assistance for safer turns at intersections, and the system in the Plug-in Hybrid can identify oncoming cars in the RAV4's lane. Moreover, Toyota incorporated Emergency Steering Assist, which can avoid pedestrians, and the Plug-in Hybrid features enhanced detection of bicycles and parked vehicles.

Following a minor redesign in 2021 that included new LED headlights and alloy wheels, the RAV4 did not receive any significant aesthetic revisions. The single modification for the 2023 model year is the introduction of a new exterior color, Platinum White Pearl, to the Plug-in Hybrid and Hybrid lineup, coupled with a bi-tone option with a Midnight Black Metallic top.

The engine selection is kept, including the 2.5-liter Hybrid with 215 horsepower in FWD and 219 horsepower in AWD-i guise, as well as the more economical Plug-in Hybrid with 302 horsepower and standard all-wheel drive.
Production of the 2023 Toyota RAV4 will begin in the third quarter of 2022. The manufacturer has not yet announced pricing for the upgraded model.
