In Europe, The 2022 Nissan Leaf Will Undergo Minor Aesthetic Tweaks
by AutoExpert | 23 February, 2022
Before it goes out of production, the second-generation Nissan Leaf got one last cosmetic makeover in Europe. Remember that the current generation was born in 2017 and updated in 2020. The 2022 Nissan Leaf is distinguished by its new 16-inch and 17-inch alloy wheels with black accents.
You'll notice that the grille, tailgate, and wheels have been modified to match the rest of the Nissan lineup. Furthermore, Nissan is bringing two new color options to the Leaf: Universal Blue and Magnetic Blue, which were previously only available in the Qashqai and Ariya.
While most minor facelifts include new inside trim, the Leaf's interior remains untouched. Speaking of tech, the EV keeps the NissanConnect infotainment system's 9-inch touchscreen, which supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Amazon Alexa, and remote control functions, as well as Nissan's ProPILOT suite of ADAS.
Two lithium-ion battery choices are provided for the 2022 Nissan Leaf. The basic Leaf has a 40kWh battery, while the Leaf e+ has a 62kWh battery that provides up to 385 km (239 miles) of the WLTP range. The single electric engine in Nissan Leaf delivers 148 hp (110 kW/150 PS) and up to 215 hp (160 kW/218 PS) in the Leaf e+.
Nissan has yet to reveal the price for the new Leaf in Europe.
