If Raptor Isn't Quite Enough, Consider Ford Super Duty-Based MegaRaptor

Many seem to adore off-road ability and performance-oriented trucks, so the F-150 Raptor in the U.S. and the compact Ranger Raptor in Europe have shown to be rather popular. But what if both of those pickup vehicles are too little for you? With their bespoke MegaRaptor, MegaRexx Trucks from North Carolina has the solution. This isn't the first time we've heard the MegaRaptor term since a different business offered analogous conversions based on Super Duty trucks back in 2017.

Ford Super Duty-Based MegaRaptor shown is modeled on a Ford F-250 Super Duty Platinum, but any F-250, F-350, or F-450 truck can be converted. The insanely front and back fenders, which add 12′′ or 18′′ to the width of the base car, have been replaced with unique fiberglass sections. Anzo headlamps, which are inspired by the Ford F-150, make the truck look even bigger than it is. Off-road front and back bumpers, as well as LED light bars, are included on MegaRaptor.

MegaRaptor takes the Super Duty to new heights due to its jacked-up air suspension and large wheels, a set of “Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected” aluminum rims estimated at 10,000 lbs each for and covered in massive Michelin XZL tires size 46′′x15.5′′ (395/85R20).

Bilstein shocks, extended radius arms, flexible track bar, and a built-in air compressor are among the features of the upgrade, which also adds 4.5-inch Icon gradual coil springs in the front and 5′′ multi-leaf springs in the back. They installed electrically controlled running boards by Amp Research along each side to make life easier for passengers to get into the cab.

A turbocharged 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8 under the hood sends power to all four wheels. The mill hasn't been modified, but the original 475 hp (354 kW / 482 PS) and 1,050 lb-ft (1,423 Nm) torque are more than enough to get around in any condition.

MegaRexx Trucks, currently owned by Aaron Richardet (who also owns Osprey Custom Cars), will continue to construct MegaRaptors for anyone willing. Each Ford Super Duty-Based MegaRaptor takes up to 2-3 months to build and needs a 50% deposit as well as the source car.

We don't know how much this monster will cost, but based on the extent of the upgrades, we're guessing it won't be cheap. Each Ford Super Duty-Based MegaRaptor is said to be one-of-a-kind, thanks to a long range of options such as various colors, textures, lights, suspension, bumpers, trailer hitches, side rails, body kits, and more, according to the brand. This will let each owner customize his vehicle to his preference while still keeping the Super Duty's load capacity.
