Hyundai Staria Hybrid Is Shaping The Future Of Minivan Mobility With Power And Efficiency
by AutoExpert | 1 March, 2024
In Korea, Hyundai added a new self-charging hybrid option to the Staria lineup, which offers greater fuel economy and more power than the previous two options—a 2.2-liter diesel and a 3.5-liter petrol V6. Keeping the futuristic LED strip up front and the enormous greenhouse, the hybrid Hyundai Staria doesn't get any aesthetic upgrades compared to the non-electrified versions.
Three or five seats are available inside the cargo (LCV) variant, while nine or eleven seats are available inside the passenger Tourer model.
An assortment of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), heated and ventilated seats, automatic climate control, a digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with visuals tailored to the Hybrid, and more are all available. A new smart key, front parking sensors, a USB-C charging outlet, and automated sliding doors that operate more slowly are among the other upgrades.
Also, for the LCV models, Hyundai provides a sliding cargo floor, a luggage divider table, a foldable chair, and a multi-hanger installed on the tailgate, among other authentic accessories that are focused on utility. A turbocharged 1.6-liter Smartstream four-cylinder gasoline engine, a lone electric motor, and a six-speed automatic transmission transmit power to the front wheels, making up the electric arrangement.
There is a disparity between the electric motor's peak torque of 224 lb-ft and the internal combustion engine's output of 178 horsepower. Stylish and chunky, the minivan weighs 4,894 pounds and has a good 242 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque thanks to the hybrid system.
With a combined fuel consumption of 7.7 lt/100 km (30.6 mpg), the new Hyundai Staria hybrid outperforms the non-electrified 3.5-liter V6 option, making it the most powerful Staria to date. In Korea, customers can place orders for the Hyundai Staria Hybrid right now. The cargo version starts at ₩34,330,000 ($25,711), while the tourer version starts at ₩36,530,000 ($27,364).
