Honda Brings You Its New Hybrid-Only HR-V Restyled

Honda has finally shared the hybrid-only third-generation HR-V crossover. Keep in mind that it's a model built especially for the European market and will launch in late 2021. And we don't mind a little sneak peek at the vehicle, since the automaker claim that this hybrid model has an upgraded interior space than the previous cars.

The Japanese automaker company has a plan to electrify all of the European models by 2022, and the HR-V is one of the start projects because it switches its usual pure-petrol and diesel powerplants with the latest e:HEV petrol-electric hybrid systems for previously promised unique efficiency. No technical details were revealed yet, but the engine used to ensure the car's heart power could be either a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol four-cylinder, just like the one previously used for its hybrid Jazz supermini model, or the 2.0-liter unit similar to the one used in the CR-V Hybrid.

The published images show visible changes to the Honda's usual style. This time we see a "clean, modern design philosophy" seen in the previous cars. At the same time, here are "slim, distinctive headlight designs and a revamped grille" which graciously dominates the new front end. Other distinctive elements are the long bonnet, the dashing roofline, and the straight-edge shoulder line. For the promised increased interior space, Honda opted for this HR-V, the previous version's centrally-located fuel-tank. This way, it can transport comfortably up to four adults because the model is designed to give more space for legs and shoulders.

Making enough room for passengers means that other cabin elements would be a bit smaller than usual. So, we can see the minimalist dashboard layout horizontally aligned instrument panel. The dashboard itself was redesigned using new L-shaped vents in the top corners to ensure more interior space. Also, the air vents would offer different airflow by directing it along with the side windows than onto the occupants. The latest-gen air diffusion is aimed to "send a curtain of fresh air" through the newly shaped vents mentioned above.

It appears that Honda's 'Magic' folding is still present allowing the rear passengers to enjoy flipping their seats back for more comfort. New details about the European HR-V technical specification along with pricing will be revealed in the following months.
