Go Electric, Be Trendy: Bedeo Unveils Its RE-100 Range Extender for Fleets

The transition to electric vehicles is more than a fad—it's a global movement. UK-based Bedeo aims to make this shift easier, especially for companies with large van fleets, with the introduction of its RE-100 Range Extender.
The RE-100 provides a smooth pathway for organizations to move from traditional diesel engines to electric solutions. Equipped with two in-wheel Bedeo motors and a 37 kWh battery pack, the RE-100 is compact, lightweight, and efficient. Its design is so space-savvy that the existing diesel engine can remain in place without requiring any suspension modifications.
Designed to achieve a range of up to 73 miles, the RE-100 is ideal for delivery vans operating in urban environments. Interestingly, Bedeo intentionally limited the range. This allows vehicles to rely on their diesel engines for extended journeys, particularly in low-transmission zones.
Bedeo's CEO, Osman Boyner, said the RE-100 not only meets market demands but also fast-tracks the decarbonization process. While sustainability is a focal point, he emphasized the importance of considering the full lifecycle of a vehicle, including its durability.
Boyner believes that while electric vehicles are undeniably eco-friendly, discarding existing traditional vehicles would be wasteful. As such, the RE-100 can be fitted into large commercial vehicles like the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroen Jumper, and Vauxhall Movano. Bedeo aims to make this technology compatible with even more large vans in the future.
