GM’s Chevrolet Impala Might Get Discontinued
by AllAutoExperts | 21 October, 2015
Since the 2008 bankruptcy and government bailout, General Motors has dropped about half of its brands. Though, even so, it still has the largest amount of models in USA.
The CEO of GM, Mary Barra, says it is time to reconsider which brands make more sense and more money. One thing is for sure that GM the best performers are safe. Escalade, Corvette, Camaro, Volt and EVs have nothing to worry about.
Another thing are the large sedans. The sales have been dropping since 2014 by a total of 16% up until September 2015. This segment is becoming less profitable thus gets more unwanted attention from top management.
When asked about the Impala, Barra said that today it has a purpose but the future might change things around and it could have less a positive impact.
So the Chevy Impala is fine for now, but has an uncertain future!
