GMC Expands Globally: Hummer EV Spearheads International Market Entry

After a retreat years ago, General Motors is undergoing an international expansion. The latest brand which is in search of adding a few stamps to their passport is GMC - buckle up, it enters new markets.
China sales are scheduled for 2024, with Australia and New Zealand following in 2025. GM stated that this move will only bolster the brand-established operations in the U.S., Middle East, Mexico, and Canada, mirroring at the same time GMC’s incredible worldwide activity. The automaker also highlighted that their remarkable effort has been based on last year's launch in South Korea.
Duncan Aldred, GMC Global’s vice-president, noted that GMC is currently at its peak as the brand expects to grow competitively in its home market while venturing into new ones.
As for the success, last year, GMC delivered around 564.000 vehicles in the United States, pointing out a visible 8.9% growth. Sierra 1500 was undoubtedly the star of the show with 190.000 pieces sold, followed closely by Sierra HD and Acadia.
The company noted they are continuing to ramp up production of Hummer EVs and sales ski-height from 2022 to 2023.
Customers continued to crowd near the top-selling Denali trim because 34% of them desired the ultimate in “Professional Grade”. Denali is getting ready for its 25th birthday party.
The AT4 model is a newbie because it turns only 5 years old, but proved to be an astonishing success as 19% of customers bought this very off-road model last year.
