GMC Denali XT - An Off-Road Chevrolet El Camino!
by AllAutoExperts | 10 November, 2015
This small-sized vehicle, with a unique body and a hybrid engine, is called GMC Denali XT. The pickups built on car chassis, like Chevrolet El Camino, have served as the main source of inspiration.
The frame body has been successfully replaced with a uni-body construction, which helps with fuel consumption and gives a lightweight feeling. The uni-body offers a higher level of rigidity, compared to the frame car bodies and it offers the possibility of independent wheel suspension.
Holden Design, a branch of the global GM network, has created this concept, offering it a muscle-like appearance and a firm positioning. The main features of its looks include 23-inch wheels, elegant lighting, minimal consoles, and a low-roof, all of them creating a rather aggressive attitude.
The legendary GM grid has been slightly modified, having the red GM logo and the Denali signature installed on it. The generous width of the GMC Denali XT concept is highlighted by the side wings of the car, which, along with the adjustable suspensions, give that touch of elegancy.
The interior of the car concept offers a sense of comfort, through the leather details. The metal embellishments offer that hi-tech look, which is perfectly equilibrated by the warm looking leather seats. All of the details are meant to enhance the high tech, a powerful profile of the GMC.
The GMC Denali XT concept car is powered by a V8, with a capacity of 4.9 liters, which produces 326 hp. The engine has the Active Fuel Management system installed on it, allowing the deactivation of half of the engineâs cylinders, when they are not necessary. The V8 works with a hybrid electric transmission, which optimizes fuel consumption, based on the driving mode.
