GAC's AS9 Electric Supercar Promises 0-62 MPH In 1.9 Seconds

GAC (Guangzhou Auto Corporation) will debut a completely electric supercar under the Aion brand in 2022, capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 1.9 seconds. During the release of financial statistics, Feng Xingya, the president of Guangzhou Automobile Group, revealed the model, reported to be dubbed the AS9.
The supercar's design appears to be a progression of the GAC Enpulse concept, which appeared at the 2020 Beijing Auto Show. The official teaser depicts a low-slung design evocative of Ferrari's SF90 Stradale, with noticeable fenders and a curvaceous profile.
The vehicle will be added to the GAC Aion lineup, which already includes three SUVs (Aion Y, Aion LX Plus, and Aion V Plus) and two sedans (Aion S and Aion S Plus). The EV powertrain's specs are unknown to us at this time. GAC's supercar will cost around ¥1,000,000 ($157,170), according to Car News China, with initial deliveries scheduled in early 2023.
