Ford Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid Delivers Eco-Friendly Performance

Very soon, Ford will unveil the all-new Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid to the European market. The manufacturer anticipates the vehicle's release later this year, boasting a total of 148 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
A 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, an electric motor, a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and a high-voltage battery make up the van's plug-in hybrid powertrain. Although this particular model only allows for a DC fast charging rate of 50 kW, the electric-only range of the van is around 68 miles.
The four modes on the van—"EV Auto," "EV Now," "EV Later," and "EV Reserve"—are designed to help maximize battery life. For instance, the EV Reserve saves a driver-defined level of battery energy for use later.
The five-seater Ford Tourneo Connect and the seven-seater Grand Tourneo Connect will both offer a plug-in hybrid engine. Models will also be available in Active, Titanium, and Trend trim levels. A closer inspection reveals that the base Trend model has a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment system that support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
You may place an order for a Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid this summer, and you can expect to start receiving it in the fourth quarter. "Tourneo Connect PHEV’s generous electric driving range means that it can electrify many of the journeys in our customers’ busy lifestyles," stated Rich Hughes of Ford Europe, emphasizing that the vehicle is suitable for "whether doing the school run, going on adventures, or even using it as a work vehicle."
