Fiat Titano Pickup Debuts In Algeria And Brazil With Different Engine Options
by AutoExpert | 8 December, 2023
After months of teasers, the new Fiat Titano pickup truck has finally made its way to Algeria. Moreover, it will soon be available in South America, beginning in Brazil. Specifically, Fiat tailored the engines to meet the needs of each location.
The Fiat Titano and the Peugeot Landtrek appear to be visually comparable. However, some minor changes are the emblems, the redesign of the front end, the addition of 18-inch wheels, and the rear nameplate, which takes its inspiration from Greek mythology.
The interior is very similar to the Peugeot, with the exception of the Fiat insignia on the steering wheel. Meanwhile, a large 10-inch touchscreen is featured in the most luxurious version, the Titano Volcano.
Algeria's main goal with the Titano is to cut down on fuel use. A stick shift is an option, and it comes with a 1.9-liter diesel engine that produces 148 horsepower. Its carrying capacity is comparable to that of other trucks, at 2,668 pounds.
Currently, they have not disclosed which engine will be used in Brazil. Perhaps it's the more powerful 2.2-liter diesel, or it could be the 2.4-liter gas engine similar to the one in the Peugeot.
Prices in Algeria vary depending on the Fiat Titano variant you choose, but it is already available in stores. It will soon be available in more African and South American countries. It will be slightly larger than the smaller Fiat trucks sold in Brazil.
