Fiat plans to launch a SUV B-segment, inspired by the version 500, which will be called 500X. First images of its sketches have come on the Internet (as obtained by the Indian Autos Blog) shortly after submission of the necessary documents for a design patent.
The model will be equipped with all-wheel drive, as brand representatives have explained in the past. The Italians crossover will be built at the Fiat factory in Melfi Italy, along with its platform brother from Jeep.
Every day, the factory will build 1,600 units, but the entry date of production remains undisclosed yet. The production version of Fiat 500X is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show, scheduled for March this year. Like Fiat 500L, the new 500X could use a modified version of the platform's 500.
