'Esmeralda' Is The First Customer-Owned Kimera EVO37
by AutoExpert | 9 March, 2022
Kimera Automobili has just sent the first Lancia-inspired EVO37 to a client. Customers will receive only 37 Kimera EVO37 models from the company. This first example's anonymous owner is believed to be a Dutch businessman who owns a huge collection of automobiles. Chassis #001, popularly known as "Esmeralda," was delivered in St. Moritz.
The EVO37's bodywork is dark green with yellow-tinted headlights. The interesting silver and dark bronze-colored spokes on the wheels also attract attention. The inside, which features a mix of tan and green Alcantara on practically every element, is simply as stunning as the exterior.
Customers can design their fantasy vehicles with the help of a special Virtual Reality program developed by Kimera. The client was able to see the EVO37 at every level of the building process and ask for adjustments for even the tiniest of features by using an Oculus device.
A 2.1-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder motor delivers over 500 hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque in the Kimera EVO37. Claudio Lombardi, who developed the motors for the first Lancia 037 rally vehicles, witnessed the creation of this motor. A six-speed manual gearbox transmits power to the back wheels. Furthermore, all of the body panels are composed of carbon fiber, as opposed to fiberglass on the original 037.
There have been 26 Kimera EVO37s sold so far, each for €480,000 ($520,000). The starting price of the remaining nine vehicles has risen to €540,000 ($585,000), with some previously extra features like digital rear cameras and a carbon fiber kit now included as stock.
