Drag Race: BMW M5 vs Audi RS6, both with approximately 700 hp!
by AllAutoExperts | 29 April, 2015
BMW M5 sedan is undoubtedly a wolf in sheepskin. This premium-class sedan is equipped with advanced technology, high-quality materials but also a generator of pure adrenaline: a non-tuned 4.4-liter V8 capable of delivering 560 horsepower. On the other hand, the Audi RS6 is not your ordinary family car. Beyond appearances this Ingolstadt stud packs about the same amount of horsepower!
As intended and designed by the factory, M5 accelerates to 100km/h in 4.3 seconds while RS6 in just 3.9 seconds, largely due to its all-wheel-drive system. Even if Audi is heavier by 75 kg, it has 700 Nm of torque as compared to only 680 in the case of M5.
However, the above comparison is only valid for "ordinary" sportscars and the performance mentioned above are factory suggested. But things can evolve quite differently when these 2 cars undergo a tuning process. BMW M5 went through the skilled hands of Burger Motorsports and now develops around 700 horsepower, while the V8 an engine under the bonnet of the Audi RS6 got modified to produce 690 horsepower.
