A rendering is a dare to dream virtual concept brought to life. And this is time for Porsche to take a look at their sedan electric, not that Jiawei Lin is not hoping so. Each made virtual concept put out a possibility but there’s no guarantee at all, that Porsche would ever build one. Still. Let’s take a look at it.
This is the work of the automotive designer Jiawei Lin and he is presenting one of his first projects after graduating from the ArtCenter College of Design. It’s worth mentioning that he was lucky enough to have internships at Volvo Cars USA, Honda America, and Haitec Automobile. This particular project is part of his thesis project, and it seems like his idea of creating a high-riding, four-door electric sedan, was a good start for his career in automotive design.
As always, Lin applied elements from the iconic Porsche 911, 1966 Porsche 906, such as front and rear fascia’s but with a modern touch. For the front, he opted to explore the Porsche’s current design including headlights featuring four little LED daytime running lights. You can also see the suicide-style rear doors to make ingress and egress that is much easier for rear-seat occupants.
More elements were added to this beauty including a panoramic glass roof, a rear spoiler that features the Panamera’s concept open up and extend. Did you yet notice the rear LED taillights connected to the LED light bar, almost similar to the Taycan?
Lin is very focused on every detail and the trends, offering a perfect vehicle with electric motors that send power to all four wheels, fitted with a Level 4 autonomous driving system. The rendered sedan was designed as a good one for high-riding would make it perfect for off-road adventures.
