Daihatsu Attends Tokyo Auto Salon With Lovely Tiny Camping Concept
by AutoExpert | 29 December, 2021
Daihatsu is bringing numerous customized cars to the Tokyo Auto Show in 2022. One, in particular, captures our attention. The Daihatsu Atrai Deck Van Camper Version combines the current model's tiny pickup bed with a rooftop tent to produce a little vehicle with a sleeping area.
Daihatsu offers the small vehicle a more rough aspect with lighting on top of the roof and fuel or water can integrated into the side of the body, in addition to the extended tent on the roof. The Atrai Deck Van Camper Version includes a body wrap that turns the front of the car orange and has a black and white geometrical design on the back. It travels on a set of black wheels.
The Atrai is part of the HiJet series, which was recently modified. Rather than being a tiny commercial van, it is more of a passenger car. The covered back compartment is replaced with a small truck bed in the Deck Van variant. The Atrai Premium Version will also be on display at the Tokyo Auto Show, according to Daihatsu. The variant is based on the simple van but features a new grille, a black roof, and a five-spoke wheel design.
A few other customized Rocky models are also available from Daihatsu. A roof basket, all-terrain tires, and black body trim are included in the Crossfield Version with a raised riding height. Blue highlights may be seen on the fenders, fog light surrounds, mirror caps, and roof of the Premium Version.
