Custom BMW R 18 Motorcycles Are Sporty Throwback Cruisers
by AutoExpert | 18 January, 2022
BMW R 18 boxer bikes are always eye-catching, but these modified motorcycles indicate that they can be much more so. The cooperation between BMW's Italian division and a group of Italian motorbike designers has resulted in the creation of these unique vehicles. They'll be on display at the Verona Motor Bike Expo.
The R 18 M is a head-turner, and the Italian magazine LowRide was the driving force behind the creation. It's a wilder version of the huge cruiser, with a red, blue, and purple color scheme to match. The motor has remained intact, but the suspension has been modified and the powertrain seems to be lighter. A bespoke exhaust and loads of carbon fiber details are among the features.
The R 18 Aurora, on the other hand, has the cruise motif but has a more 1970s or 1980s style. The project was directed by Garage 221, and it not only has a vintage appearance. The seat and the paint scheme were taken from previous BMW bikes (the latter was taken from a 1983 RT 100). Moreover, the grille on the oil cooler is reminiscent of BMW car grilles from the 1960s.
