Crazy Off-Roaders: Ariel Nomad Supercharged.
by AllAutoExperts | 18 October, 2015
There is no crazier off-road vehicle than Ariel Nomad which is also legal for public roads.
This 1,474 pounds car is powered by a 2.4-liter engine that produces 235 hp and 221 lb-ft of torque. The engine is made by Honda and gives the weight of the vehicle those are some really insane specs.
Or so we thought! Ariel decides that there are people who are not impressed by the specs above and made a car just for them - the power-hungry. The modified Nomad is equipped with a supercharger that boosts the horses to 290 and the torque to 251 lb-ft.
There are no performance details at this point, but we know that the standard Nomad was doing the first 60mph in 3.4 seconds, so naturally, the supercharged model should be much faster.
The supercharged beast costs about $55,623 which is by $9,270 more than its standard brother. Don't forget that you can take this buggy to work or shopping - it is street legal.
