Could Toyota Trailhunter Outperform Its Competition?
by AutoExpert | 15 March, 2021
Toyota is taking another shot at building off-road SUVs. With Tacoma, Sequoia, and 4Runner projects on the way, the Japanese manufacturer wants to build a worthy competitor for the upcoming Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco. And they might succeed with their next Toyota Trailhunter SUV.
The Trailhunter trademark was registered at USPTO on March 10, 2021. As you've guessed already, the nickname's symbol comes from "trail" to relate it to the SUV's off-road prowess spirit, while the hunter points at presenting the vehicle as something rugged.
Looking at the revealed details by Toyota for the Treilerhunt concept, you'd see that this is a wisely targetted project, and is "intended to cover the category of automobiles and structural parts thereof". The price would be high, but all other off-roads and pickups made by the Japanese automaker are never a disappointment.
Toyota is sure that the Trailhunter off-road will outperform its category competition. Without any tech specs revealed, could we just trust their word? Seems like we'll have to wait for more details.
