China's Chery Introduces Tiggo 7 Pro in Australia: A Feature-Packed SUV Starting at AU$39,990

China’s Chery is broadening its footprint in Australia with the introduction of the Tiggo 7 Pro SUV, starting at a price point of AU$39,990 (equivalent to $25,790 USD).

The Tiggo 7 Pro will be available in three different versions: Urban, Elite, and Ultimate AWD. All variants are fitted with a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 183 hp at 5,500 rpm and 203 lb-ft of torque at 2,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. While the Urban and Elite versions come with front-wheel drive, the Ultimate AWD features all-wheel drive.

Standard features for the base model Tiggo 7 Pro Urban include LED exterior lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, eight airbags, a driver monitoring system, heated front seats, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The mid-range Elite version, priced at AU$41,990 ($27,080), offers additional features like a 360-degree camera, auto-folding mirrors, a power tailgate, an air quality management system, and a negative ion air freshener among others.

The top-of-the-line Tiggo 7 Pro Ultimate AWD comes at AU$45,990 ($29,660) and includes 19-inch alloy wheels, six drive modes, red front brake calipers, ventilated front seats, and a memory driver’s seat as standard amenities.

Tiggo 7 Pro

Dimension-wise, the Tiggo 7 Pro measures 4,513 mm in length, 1,862 mm in width, and 1,696 mm in height, with a 2,670 mm wheelbase. The SUV offers a cargo space of 626 liters that expands to 1,672 liters with the rear seats folded. Inside, the cabin features twin 12.3-inch displays and an eight-speaker Sony audio system, with wireless phone charging as a standard feature across all models.
