The rear-wheel-drive V8 Chevrolet SS might become extinct after 2017, according to multiple sources. The reason is that Holden is stopping the production of the VF Commodore after which the SS was designed.
The updated 2016 version is probably the last version you will ever see. The 2016 version has revised front brassica, vertical ducts, improved aerodynamic, new LED lighting, better hood vents, dual exhaust, and new 19-inch aluminum wheels.
The power comes from a 6.2 liter V8 with 415 hp and 415 Nm delivered to a 6-speed manual transmission.
