Chevrolet is presenting the 6th generation COPO Camaro in Las Vegas at SEMA. This generation is lighter and has a more rigid body.
Computer engineering helped make the car by 28% more rigid and reduced body weight by 133 lbs. It has a red hot exterior signed by Courtney Force.
The production version of the COPO series will have racing chassis, solid rear axle, strut front suspension, 4-link rear suspension with adjustable coil-overs, and a Whipple 2.9-liter supercharger.
There are several engine options to choose from: a supercharged 5.7-liter 350 concept engine, 7.0-liter 427 or the new 6.2-liter 376. All engines will get the 3-speed automatic gearbox.
They will only build 69 units and the buyers will be randomly selected by a third party.
