In the 60s two Americans managed to establish a company that has rewritten the rules of motorsport, surprising the competitors with technical innovations used. That company was called Chaparral and, in some cases, used engines and components supplied by Chevrolet. And now, the exdonater of pieces revive the name Chaparral for the game Gran Turismo 6.
The creators of Gran Turismo 6 have surprisingly managed to convince many auto manufacturers to create special concepts for this version of the virtual simulator.
Now Chevrolet - which supplied engines and components for the renowned company Chaparral founded by Sharp and Hall - revived the name for the simulator Gran Turismo 6 by 2X Gran Turismo concepts.
The ideas behind the virtual prototype are very futuristic that could be achieved in this world not earthly than 50-100 years.
First, the driver should lie down with the hands and feet directed to the wheels (a position similar to that required of supersport motorcycles). Then, the engine system uses a laser-powered by lithium-ion batteries that take their power from a generator turned by air.
In theory, the system should have a power equivalent to 900 hp and the actual movement of the machine would make the shock waves emitted by the laser, acceleration from zero to 60 mph requires 1.5 seconds.
What to say, it's good that there are still beautiful people with imagination.
