Cadillac versus the German Powertrains
by AllAutoExperts | 18 October, 2015
Cadillac is becoming more and more serious in its crusade against Germans. The cars they produce now, in terms of technology are ages away from what they used to produce a few decades ago.
Their recent release of ATS-V and CTS-V are meant to take on the BMW M3 and M4 and even the M5.
If you can't afford the V versions, you can settle for the standard ATS and CTS that are getting improvements meant to increase the power and be more fuel-efficient. They will receive a new engine, transmission with cylinder deactivation, start-stop technology, and 8 speeds.
The upgrades will boost the power by 12 horses from 321 to 333. Also, Cadillac wants to implement the start-stop technology on all other models like CTS-V and Escalade, in an effort to make this a brand standard.
The main goal for all the improvements is to tackle a segment run by Mercedes and BMW and become a favorite.
