Cadillac Celebrates Pink Cadillac Day With Special V-Series Livery
by AutoExpert | 2 September, 2024
On September 1, Pink Cadillac Day, Cadillac Design and Cadillac Racing are celebrating with a special pink V-Series livery. The racing car features a striking pink body that fades into black, accented with blue and white details and lots of Cadillac badging. It’s a nod to the vibrant Cadillacs of the past.
Both the race and Forza Motorsport will showcase the vehicle. We will make the pink livery downloads available later today.
While Mary Kay is often linked to the pink Cadillac, it was actually Elvis Presley who made this color iconic. After his cherished 1954 Fleetwood Series 60 was destroyed in a fire, Elvis went on to purchase a 1955 Fleetwood, which he had painted in a unique shade known as "Elvis Rose." The legendary singer also mentions a pink Cadillac in his song "Baby, Let's Play House."
Mary Kay Ash "began her car program to reward the best of the best" in 1969. The cosmetics company says that there are currently over 3,600 professional vehicles actively in use, with over 1,000 of them being Pink Cadillacs.
