BMW Unveils iX2 eDrive20: The Future of Electrified Mobility at an Unmatched Price

Besides the official Series 4 Coupe and the Convertible announcement, BMW introduced a new electrifying entry-level iX2, named eDrive 20.
The iX2 eDrive20 sales will start in March, with the prices for the England market hitting a 64.280 USD figure - which makes it 8.537 USD cheaper than the iX2 xDrive30.
Powering this new variant is a single electric motor valued at 204 hp, which drives the front wheels. Albeit it’s not a performance model, the electric SUV may reach the 62 mph figure in 8,6 seconds and hit 106 mph.
Similar to the xDrive30, the xDrive20 uses a 64,8 kWh battery pack, but the decreased power made more space for a longer, by 18 miles, driving range, rated at 297 miles.
The electric SUV braces AC charging at 11 kW and 22 kW and DC charging at up to 130 kW, which is enough to offer 75 miles of range with a 10-minute charge.
BMW didn’t unveil the complete specs for the iX2 eDrive20, including the trim details. Rumours say it will most probably adopt it from the iX1 eDrive20, which has a 10.25-inch infotainment display and a 10.7-inch digital instrument cluster.
Along with the brand new iX2 is being launched the X2 xDrive20d. This is the second diesel model from the X2 lineup, powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine boosted by an electric motor blended into a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It fires a combined power of 165 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque.
All BMW X2 and iX2 versions will be offered with a wide range of exterior shades, including the Frozen Black Metallic.
