The legendary BMW Coupe from 1970 has served as the main cause for today's concept car - the latter being a tribute to the 70s model. BMW wanted to show how important the brand's history is for its future. The concept uses light modern materials, combined with the latest gadgets, all comprised in an absolutely wonderful design.

The letters CSL come from Sport Coup Leichtbau. The CSL is about 200 kg lighter than the inspiring car, all because of the ergonomic design and the lightweight materials, including carbon fiber, which ensured a lower figure on the scales, unlike the 70s aluminum and plexi-glass.

The exterior of the concept expresses power and elegance. This comes from the attempt of the creators to combine elegancy with racing force and strength. The initial design was preserved, but in such a manner, that when you look at the CSL concept, you don't see a copy of the 70s CSL, but more like a part of its family.

The long body is embellished with big sized wheels and oversized spoilers. The aerodynamic elements encourage the efficient air flow and reduce the aerodynamic resistance.

The front side is one of the lowest and widest in BMW's history. The wide grille emphasizes the existence of the powerful six cylinders engine with an eBoost line. The lights are distributed in a creative manner, from the front lights to the rear ones.

The lateral sides of the car are elegant ant athletic, repeating the Hommage silhouette. There is a continuous line that goes round the car and enhances the chromium elements. All the C-pillars have the BMW sign encrusted on them.

The rear preserves the same muscular appearance just like the rest of the car, enhancing the generous dimensions and the LED line over the spoiler, connecting the two rear lights.

The concept car's creators have preserved a minimalist note in the interior, focusing on the absolutely necessary elements. However, these elements come in a high class design, with expensive materials. There is an eBoost central console, along with an Infotainement screen.

The seats are covered with expensive fabric. The back seats have two integrated helmets, held by a special belt when unnecessary.

The entire design is precise and expressive, presenting an athletic and incredibly beautiful final result.
