Citroen has recently introduced a new variant of their electric vehicle, the e-C4 X, which boasts a more robust powertrain. This latest addition joins the e-C4 family in their lineup. It's worth noting that this electric motor has already been incorporated into several other models that share the e-CMP architecture. These include the Peugeot E-208, the Opel Mokka-e, and various others.
The latest iterations of the e-C4 and e-C4 X have received a boost in power with a more powerful electric motor that generates 154 horsepower and 191.8 pound-feet of torque, representing a 20 horsepower increase.
The EVs have also been equipped with an upgraded 54 kWh battery pack, which provides a significant boost in driving range. As per the WLTP cycle, the new models can travel between 258 and 261 miles, which is approximately 17% more than the standard variants. One of the advantages of having a larger capacity is that it doesn't affect charging times.
The e-C4 and e-C4 X are impressive electric vehicles that boast a standard single-phase 7.4 kW charger, with the option to upgrade to a three-phase 11 kW charger. Additionally, these vehicles are compatible with 100-kW rapid chargers, making them a convenient and efficient choice for drivers looking to go electric. Unfortunately, Citroen has not disclosed any information regarding the pricing of their new products.
