Presenting the all-new Stone 01, an expansive EREV SUV collaboratively crafted by Rox Motor and BAW (Beijing Automobile Works). It arrives with options for either six or seven occupants. Powering this vehicle are two electric motors working in tandem, producing a combined 476 hp.

Interestingly, It offers an impressive WLTC range of up to 235 km on a single charge, while the combined range stretches to an astonishing 1,115 km. The Stone 01 positions itself as a potential contender against the Li Auto L8.

Official images reveal robust proportions, wide wheel arches, a lofty bonnet line, and significant side mirrors, all surrounding a rectangular grille. One can see contemporary elements like T-shaped LED headlights, sleek lines, and a floating roof. Notably, a LiDAR sensor graces its roof. Directing our attention to the rear, T-shaped taillights make their appearance alongside a compact rear window wiper and a substantial rear bumper. At the rear, two distinct configurations emerge.

One mirrors the split tailgate design seen in models such as the BMW X5 and X7, while the other introduces a swing-out tailgate housing a mounted spare wheel. Delving into dimensions, the Stone 01 measures 5050/1980/1869 mm and boasts a wheelbase of 3010 mm. This aligns it closely with the Li Auto L8, standing slightly shorter by 30 mm, narrower by 15 mm, and taller by 69 mm.

However, its wheelbase extends by a mere 5 mm. Moving inside, a familiar layout graces the scene, featuring a D-shaped steering wheel, an LCD instrument panel, and an expansive central console screen accommodating wireless charging pads, cup holders, a retractable gear selector, and ample storage. A 9-inch screen seamlessly replaces the conventional rearview mirror, echoing the setups observed in the Li Auto L8 and L9.

Interior options comprise a six-seat version equipped with independent captain seats in the second row and two additional third-row seats. Meanwhile, a seven-seat alternative includes a third-row seat. The seven-seat variation incorporates simplified captain chairs, potentially signifying the base model, while the six-seat configuration could possibly designate a premium version or an optional package.

Regarding the powertrain, the Stone 01 features a 1.5-liter turbocharged ICE generating 152 hp. However, the engine predominantly serves as a generator, replenishing the battery or directly powering the electric motors. The electric motors synergize to produce a combined output of 476 hp.

The 53-kWh ternary battery that CATL supplied is what powers the Stone 01's performance. This substantial battery facilitates a single-charge range of 235 km and a combined range of 1,115 km. Turning to pricing, specific figures remain undisclosed. However, estimates place it within the range of the Li Auto L8 and L9, with anticipated prices of approximately 350,000 to 500,000 yuan (around 48,000-68,600 USD).
