Battista Targamerica Is Pininfarina’s First Coachbuilt Hypercar Unveiled With Custom Design Elements

Automobili Pininfarina has introduced its first-ever coach-built special, the Battista Targamerica. This one-of-a-kind electric hypercar features an open-top design along with personalized interior and exterior details tailored to its owner's preferences. The Battista Targamerica was first commissioned at the 2023 Monterey Car Week, marking a significant moment in the brand's legacy.
A year later, the renowned car collector and current Battista owner in the United States will receive it. As an added bonus, the one-of-a-kind piece has "several elements personal to the client, referencing their life and achievements," according to Pininfarina.
The absence of a roof and the somewhat altered back deck are the most noticeable differences when compared to the typical Pininfarina Battista. The exterior, which draws design cues from Gianni Agnelli's 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider, has a combination of silver Argento Liquido Gloss and blue Iconica Blu Gloss highlights. An artist hand-painted Iconica Blu pinstripes under the rear wing.
Meanwhile, the ceramic-polished alloy wheels, with black aluminum hubcaps and a Ferrari-inspired five-spoke design, add a unique touch. Brown leather upholstery covers the inside, while the dashboard and steering wheel are trimmed in black leather. A one-of-a-kind plaque sits between the seats, and the headrests bear the embossed F emblem. The custom cigar holder and humidor take center stage as another highlight of the interior.
Chief Design Officer Dave Amantea of Automobili Pininfarina referred to the Battista Targamerica as their "first coach-built one-off vehicle" and asserted that it "will forever stand as a one-of-its-kind vehicle and will never be repeatable." Getting "Battista levels of performance without the tensile support of a hard-body roof" was a problem, according to Automobili Pininfarina's Chief Technical Officer Andrea Crespi, but a "creative, one-of-kind solution" made it feasible.
The Pininfarina Battista Targamerica shares its powerhouse with the standard Battista and B95 Barchetta hypercars, thanks to its Rimac-derived electric engine. A 120 kWh battery powers the electric motors in this setup, which produces an astounding 1,874 horsepower and 1,726 lb-ft of torque. The peak speed is more than 186 mph, and it takes less than 2 seconds to get from 0 to 62 mph. The Pininfarina Battista Targamerica and the Batman-themed B95 Gotham will debut at The Quail event, with the Targamerica's owner receiving their car right after. The price remains a mystery.
