Audi S3 Sedan Gets 400 Horsepower After Being Tuned By Manhart

When it comes to European tuned cars, Manhart is a household name. The S 400, as marketed by the firm, is now on display. And this is no Benz; rather, it's an Audi S3 sedan.
With the help of the tuner, the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder can now produce 400 hp and 380 lb-ft of torque. As a reminder, the base model S3 generates 306 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
Compared to the European RS3, which has a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder to produce 394 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, the Manhart-tuned S3's numbers are even more impressive. The RS3 has 401 horsepower in the US.
Manhart installs a new intercooler, a carbon fiber intake, a stainless steel exhaust obtained from Remus, and a remapped ECU to accomplish the significant increase in horsepower. In addition to the engine modifications, Manhart lowers the S3 by 1.181 inches with a set of H&R springs. Neither the interior nor the brakes have been modified for the exhibition vehicle. Manhart, though, claims that it can improve both aspects for interested customers.
