Usually, an FIA World Endurance Championship GT competitor since 2012, this year, Aston Martin decided to retrieve itself from the competition and focus on a new team on motorsports cars for Formula 1.
The 47 class WEC wins, four of which are in the Le Mans 24 Hours, and the GT manufacturer’s crown, Aston Martin feels encouraged to give it a try in the 2021 Racing Point F1 for a rebranding.
Right now, Aston Martin has an agreement with Prodrive for the current V* Vantage GT racer and they now want to develop Vantage GT3, especially for the GT racings.
