Afzal Kahn-Designed Ferrari GTC4 Grand Edition Is A Coachbuilt Masterpiece

A coach-built version of the Ferrari GTC4Lusso 2+2 supercar has just been unveiled by auto designer Afzal Kahn, even though the model is no longer in production and will be substituted by the Purosangue SUV.  It began as a drawing in 2018 and now has evolved into a one-of-a-kind model with a modified face and personalized specifications.

The designer stated that he was looking for a four-seater supercar that he could operate daily, and while the Ferrari GTC4Lusso's shooting brake profile was ideal for the purpose, he wasn't happy with the front end work. As a result, he chose to implement his own version as a tribute to Ferrari's history.

The front fenders, which make a major contribution to the overall appearance, are the main distinction between the Ferrari GTC4 Grand Edition and the standard GTC4Lusso. The redesigned panels are hammer-shaped, with slimmer headlights and broader side gills that merge with the wheel arches.

Extra circular lights and a more pronounced front splitter can also be seen on the grille. For the abovementioned alterations, Kahn claims to have been influenced by the 2019 Ferrari Monza SP2 and the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa.

Blue paint is complemented with white accents and yellow brake calipers. The Diamond Cut forged wheels are 20 inches in diameter in the front and 21 inches in diameter in the rear, with 255/35R20 front and 315/30R21 back Continental ContiSportContact 5 P tires.

The drivetrain was not mentioned in the news announcement, so we assume the Grand Edition will keep the factory naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 with 681 hp (507 kW/690 PS) and 513 lb-ft (697 Nm) of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox sends power to all four wheels, enabling it a 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint time of 3.4 seconds and a max speed of 208 mph (335 km/h).

Ferrari GTC4 Grand Edition's pricing hasn't been revealed, but we're guessing the one-of-a-kind hand-built body panels cost a pretty penny.
