Silentium, the Israeli tech company developed for several years, a software meant to cancel the road noise cancellation. Jaguar Land Rover will be the first car company to integrate this ‘Active Acoustics’ software in their models, on the Jaguar F-Pace and Range Rover Velar.
Active Acoustics can remove 90% of unwanted noise from 20Hz to 1kHz frequencies and will will bring a new level to the sounds inside a car. Car manufacturers have now a unique way to reduce, cancel, and enhance sound inside their vehicles.
The tech is similar to what you’d find inside high-end noise-canceling headphones, on a car, it requires up to six strategically positioned accelerometers on the chassis to monitor unwanted road noise and an on-board control unit that receives the signals also powered by Silentium Active Acoustic software.
