According to Toyota, the Corolla Cross has been updated visually and mechanically over the basic model. The new suspension configuration by Gazoo Racing makes the new 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross GR Sport not only look harder but also more pleasant to drive. There's a new front bumper and grille that's identical to the Hilux and is ringed by black chrome on this SUV.
Additionally, the front end boasts wider intakes with integrated fog lights, as well as aluminum-style skid plates.
In addition to the silver sill add-ons on the side, there is a complementing skid plate and a GR logo on the rear of the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross GR Sport.
A GR-branded motor start button and embossed GR logos on the seats are among the new interior features. Airbags and Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 are standard safety features. A sports suspension with new springs and dampers has been fitted to the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross GR Sport by Toyota Gazoo Racing to enhance control, while a new chassis reinforcement bracket has been fitted to boost stability.
Fuel-powered and hybrid versions of the 2022 Corolla Cross-GR Sport are offered. The Super CVT-i transmission sends power to the front wheels via the naturally aspirated 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, which generates 138-hp (103 kW / 140 PS) and 172 Nm (127 lb-ft) of torque. The hybrid merges a 1.8-liter engine and an electric to produce 121-hp (90 kW / 122 PS), which is sent to the front wheels via an E-CVT gearbox.
With prices starting at 875,000 Taiwan dollars ($31,601) (1.8-liter gasoline engine) and 34,129 ($34,129) (hybrid version), the new 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross GR Sport is now marketed in Taiwan.
