2,800 HP, Pure Custom Power: This is The Chevrolet Chevelle Doughboy From Blazin Rodz
by AutoExpert | 11 November, 2024
Blazin Rodz has once again stunned the automotive world with their latest creation, the "Doughboy" – a hand-crafted, 2,800 horsepower monster based on a Chevrolet Chevelle. This wild ride is not your typical SEMA show car.
Built with the renowned Art Morrison chassis, Blazin Rodz made custom tweaks to handle the car’s outrageous power, adding extra bracing and crafting a fully bespoke suspension using CNC-milled 7075-T6 aluminum.
The Doughboy's engine is a beastly 8.8-liter Brodix V8, paired with twin Precision 8385 Next Gen turbos and dual 10-GPM Aeromotive Brushless fuel pumps. The build includes some incredible tech, like 3D-printed carbon fiber intercooler ducts and a custom billet engine intake that also acts as the fuel rail.
In true custom fashion, the entire engine sits 15 inches closer to the center of the car compared to the original, giving it a sleek, balanced profile. The cabin is equally outrageous, featuring a 4130 roll cage, billet pillars, and a Motec C1812 gauge cluster. To top it off, Blazin Rodz opted for an Audi R8 steering wheel to enhance control and functionality.
Riccardo Salatino, the lead builder, described the goal behind the Doughboy as not just to create a head-turning vehicle but to offer a driving experience like no other. And it’s clear they’ve pushed the envelope with every aspect of this build—from the engineering to the design. We're definitely blown away by it! What do you think of this insane build?
