2024 Nissan GT-R Has Received Some Exciting Upgrades From Nismo
by AutoExpert | 14 April, 2023
Nismo never ceases to amaze us with their relentless pursuit of enhancing the Nissan GT-R. For car enthusiasts in Japan, there's exciting news regarding the 2024 model year of Godzilla. The popular vehicle now comes with two new packages, Type-1 and Type-2, both of which offer "Sports Resetting" features.
What's even better is that these packages are also compatible with older Godzilla models. If you're looking for a hot Nismo, go for the former. However, if you prefer the regular variant, the latter is the one for you.
The 2024 Nissan GT-R Nismo is making waves with its Type-1 package, which includes a change to its speed limiter. This modification has been made with safety in mind, as it helps to avoid potential hazards caused by speed differences when driving on the track. If you're a proud owner of a 2017–2024 GT-R, you'll be pleased to know that the dedicated ECM can be easily installed in your vehicle. Additionally, if you happen to own a 2015 MY car, a transmission control module (TCM) is also available for installation. The pricing is contingent upon its model year.
With the Type-2 package, drivers can experience improved acceleration thanks to the extra torque provided in the low and medium speed ranges. The upgraded version now features a new ECM and TCM, as well as fine-tuned adjustments to boost pressure and gearbox calibration for improved performance. Nismo has recently announced that they will be offering the kit for 2009–2024 models, which is priced at 341,000 yen, or $2,600.
For those who own a 2007-2009 model, there's a Type-3 kit that comes with all the features of the Type-2 kit and more. This kit includes a retuned motor that fully optimizes the potential of the VR38. For those interested in purchasing this thing, it comes in at 330,000 yen ($2,500). Nismo charges 220,000 yen ($1,650) for vehicles that already have the Type-2 installed.
