2024 Kona Jayde Hyundai Concept: The Urban Adventurer's Debut at SEMA, Las Vegas
by AutoExpert | 31 October, 2023
Hyundai's latest creation for the SEMA showcase takes the Kona and elevates it with a blend of practical accessories and design alterations. The 2024 Kona Jayde Hyundai Concept is crafted with "urban adventurers" in mind.
Sporting a captivating "robin's egg blue" exterior wrap, it contrasts beautifully with the brushed black one-piece HRE 520M alloy wheels and the plastic cladding, giving it a bold yet refined look.
The SUV further flaunts a rear spoiler extension, rocker panels, and some discreet additions by Air Design, including a front lip. The sporty persona is amplified with a set of Eibach lowering springs, dropping it closer to the earth by 2 inches, and a set of 20-inch wheels encased in gripping 235/40/ZR20 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tires.
But it doesn't stop at sporty; the practicality shines through with the roof-mounted Thule Pulse Alpine cargo box and Thule Epos bike carrier, which snugly holds a Vintage Electric Rally e-bike, adding a dash of adventure readiness to the mix.
Inside, the ambiance of adventure continues with a pair of Recaro Sportster CS seats, reminiscent of a VW Golf GTI-style pattern, harmonizing with the exterior charm. Hyundai has also integrated a plethora of features, including the Scosche PowerUp 32K portable charger and the InVert 200 DC-to-AC adapter, ensuring your gadgets stay powered up during urban explorations.
While Hyundai has kept the Kona Jayde Concept's powertrain specs under wraps, the exterior hints at its basis on the Limited ICE-powered equipment. The strongest petrol engine in the current Kona lineup for the American market is the turbocharged 1.6-liter petrol engine, delivering 190 HP.
This innovative concept was birthed from a collaboration with Mobis, Hyundai's accessory and genuine parts supplier, showcasing the potential tuning ethos for the SUV.
Mark your calendars for October 31, as the Kona Jayde Concept is set to make a grand entrance at the 2023 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, promising a glimpse into the adventurous side of urban automotive innovation.
