2023 Honda HR-V Announced As A Wider SUV
by AutoExpert | 13 April, 2022
Thankfully, the second-generation Honda HR-V has arrived. We now have a clear picture of what the HR-V will look like in 2023. The look is more traditional, but the motor is more powerful. The look is more traditional, but the motor is more powerful. The 1.8-liter four-pot in the outgoing generation, for example, only produces 141 hp. We still don't know how much extra power the new automobile will have.
Buyers from across the pond may find this weird, given Honda has already introduced an HR-V in their country. That model, on the other hand, is completely another thing. Furthermore, Honda will begin selling the HR-V in European countries next year, but the name will be changed.
The carmaker has stated that the HR-V for the United States and Canada will be based on the same architecture as the 11th generation Civic. Expect greater room because the new HR-V has a five-inch larger wheelbase than the previous model.
Given these facts, we can assume that Honda will employ any number of Civic motors in the new HR-V.
The standard Civic engine, with its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 158 horsepower, already outperforms the 2022 HR-V.
In other words, Honda wants the new crossover to be a stronghold for its whole line of vehicles. “This new HR-V will advance its position as the segment leader with young buyers, first-time buyers, and multicultural customers,” remarked Michael Kistemaker, assistant vice president of Automobile Sales at American Honda.
