2023 Cadillac Lyriq Electric SUV Will Be Offered With A Super Cruise Semi-Autonomous Driving System

After Cadillac stated that they want to become an electric-only brand they show how serious they were with the 2023 Lyriq. Introduced as a concept last year, it's time for more details now. The Liriq shows the “culmination of a century of innovation and the beginning of a great new era.”

As you can see, the 2023 Lyriq did not suffer many changes when put next to last year's revealed concept, featuring the same black crystal grille with an illuminated emblem. You will spot even slim-line LED headlights and a revised front bumper. The back shows flush-mounted door handles and conventional side mirrors. Compared to the concept, you can spot different taillights wrapping around the side of the vehicle, optional with standard 20- and optional 22-inch wheels.

Cadillac Liriq features an all-new steering wheel, a freestanding continuous 33-inches display, a floating center console, slender air vents,  wood and metal trim, and a 19-speaker AKG Studio system. Cadillac promised the next-generation digital key technology and active noise cancellation system. The electric Liriq SUV  features a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack combined with a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers an estimated 340 horsepower and 440 Newton-meters of torque. Cadillac has not confirmed yet, the 300 miles (483 km) range per single charge on a single charge.

The Lyriq will be launched as a rear-wheel-drive system, but later, the customers might choose between all-wheel drive and all-wheel drive performance variants in the future. The SUV will offer one-pedal driving and variable Regen on Demand technology allowing the drivers to use a pressure-sensitive paddle on the steering wheel and control how quickly the vehicle slows down or comes to a stop.

Also, the Liriq will be offered with the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system for hands-free experience operations for over 200,000 miles (321,869 km) of roadway on both United States and Canada territory. Cadillac plans to accept reservations starting September, next fall with a price starting at $59,990, and the deliveries should begin in the first half of 2022.
